We employ over 800 talented people, around 90 of which are experienced or part-qualified actuaries. At the heart of everything we do, our actuaries provide the basis for sound financial management, making sure that we fulfil our obligations to policyholders and shareholders alike. As a dynamic company, we offer a fast-paced and evolving environment with unparalleled scope and variety of work. And because our business model lends itself directly to further acquisitions, there'll always be plenty of opportunities for growth and advancement, and we encourage and celebrate career development across the company.
Our working environment is constructive, and in all areas of business we champion collaboration and cooperation. There are a number of key operational areas where actuaries make a major contribution. Firstly, there’s Actuarial Reporting, who as a team, review and agree the content, quality and delivery for all reporting of results, as well as the assumptions and methodology used. Our With-Profits and Non-Profit Reporting teams are responsible for the production of all financial results relating to funds within our life division. Together, these functions report on a total of 19 funds with combined assets of over £67.1bn*. In With-Profits Management, we oversee the performance of 13 With-Profit funds, with combined assets of over £36bn in the context of a major technology transformation project. We’re responsible for implementing and maintaining effective strategies to ensure profitable results for our shareholders and excellent outcomes for our policyholders. We also have specialists working in Capital Management, Annuities, Asset Liability Management and Unit Linked.
